Do I need to install anything?
No. GunHype runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer. Just tap Play now.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every vehicle and every match item is unlocked for everyone. Skill decides the match; nothing that gives an advantage is sold.
Will there be a shop?
If there is one, it will be cosmetic only: vehicle looks, pilot outfits, trails and emotes, with no stats at all. Everything shows its price and contents before you buy, nothing is random and nothing expires.
Do I need an account?
Not to start. The game creates a guest profile on this device, with no email or phone. To take your profile to another device, use the link code in the game settings.
Is there chat with strangers?
There is no free chat for anyone. In a match you communicate with pings, emotes and preset phrases. Learn more in Parents and guardians.
How does the ranking work?
Wins and damage earn GP. GP sets your rank on the classic ladder. Very short matches or repeated matches against the same rival on the same day are capped, so nobody can inflate the ranking.
Do events have cash prizes?
No. Events are free and prizes are cosmetic only. Full rules are in Events.
