Delete account and data
How to delete your GunHype account and its data: in the game, on the site or by request, and what is kept afterwards.
This page covers GunHype wherever you play: browser, Android, iOS, Windows, macOS or Steam. It is the same account.
In the game
Open Settings › Your data › Delete my data and confirm. Before that, if you want, tap Download my data to keep a copy.
On the site
In the Dashboard, under Privacy and data, use Delete profile. The Dashboard sees the account signed in on this browser.
Without access to the game
Lost the device or deleted the app? Ask through the contact shown below and in the Terms of use, with your friend code or the data file you downloaded: since we don't ask for an email, that is how we find the account. We reply once we confirm the account is yours.
What is deleted right away
- The account, nickname, progress, and items and looks earned or bought.
- The declared age range, consent, friends, blocks and optional measurement.
- The session ends on every device, even in the middle of a match.
What is kept, and for how long
- Backups: deleted data disappears from all of them through rotation within about 5 weeks.
- Moderation record (bans and reports against the account): kept under a pseudonym, with no nickname or progress, for 180 days, for other players' safety.
- Reports you made stay with moderation, but without the author.
- Technical logs with no personal data disappear on their own within 90 days.
Periods from the Privacy Policy, under legal review: if any of them changes, this page changes too.
